About Us

Parkfield Archers has around 50 members. We are based at Parkfield Sports and Social Club in Chapel Lane, Wimblington near March.

We shoot on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings during the summer and inside at Manea Village Hall during the winter.  We still try and shoot outdoors on a Sunday morning during the winter if the weather permits.

We run beginners sessions at Parkfield during the summer.  These cost £30 per adult and £20 per child (To be paid as a lump sum before starting the course)

If you join the club you will have to join GNAS, the governing body for archery in the UK - this will cost about £30 and covers insurance and safety rules.

A basic bow, arrows and all the other necessary bits will cost in the region of £150.  See our Links for some suppliers.

Some people come along on a Sunday morning just to shoot and have a drink afterwards, however for the more serious archer there are always competitions within the club and run by other local clubs which you can enter.

Archery is a good way of getting gentle exercise - walking around looking for arrows in the grass - we all miss the target at some time or other - and we have members of all ages and from many different backgrounds.

If you would like to find out more contact one of the committee members.
